Oppo is a rapper, producer, photographer and artist from Pennsylvania. Born October 23rd, 1990 in San Antonio, Texas. He never had an interest in music or art until he was in 4th grade, when a series of concussions put him out of school for a year. He taught himself how to record and play various instruments, including the guitar, bass (stand up & electric), drums, banjo, mandolin, ukelele and more. You can hear the eclectic mix of music here. Sometime in 2009 or 2010 he got his first MPC and started taking beat making seriously, eventually moving to Hawaii and making it is job. On July 24th, 2011 his life was forever changed when the car he was in was hit dead-on by a drunk driver. Even though he was in the back seat, he fractured his skull, broke his neck, broke some ribs and fractured a hip. He spent 21 days on a ventilator and went to various rehabilitation hospitals before returning to his home in Pennsylvania. He is now in a powered wheelchair, paralyzed from the chest down and has no use of his fingers, yet he still continues to be a creator of many mediums. Using a stylus strapped to his hand he produces his beats on an iPad and he's even figured out how to take his own photos as well as shoot and edit his own videos. He also runs Wheel Life Stories, an Instagram page and website helping to teach, motivate and inspire others in similar situations. Definitely follow his social accounts to stay updated!
